MEN'S CAMPUS

KEEP UP TO DATE WITH ALL THE UPCOMING EVENTS THAT WAGNER HILLS IS INVOLVED WITH....

THE PROGRAM

Our one-year program is aimed to help men heal mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually through a relationship with God and others. Throughout a typical week our residents participate in work, classroom teaching, group Bible study, sharing meetings, recreation, and worship. Most of these activities are required, but some are optional. We also offer prayer counseling in which residents meet one-on-one with a member of our staff. We schedule 10 meetings with each resident over the course of their year with us, and additional meetings can be scheduled on a by-request basis. In addition to these onsite activities, we also take residents to church meetings in the community every Sunday morning and evening.

VISITS + COMMUNICATION

For residents of the men’s campus, we use a permission slip system to coordinate telephone and internet access and visits. Telephone calls are limited to a maximum of 2 calls per week, at 15 minutes per call. Internet use for checking email and conducting personal business such as online banking is limited to a maximum of 15 minutes per week. Permission slip approved visits are allowed during residents’ free time. For the first month in the program residents are permitted to have onsite visits only.

THE FARM

Besides its amazing view of Glen Valley, Wagner Hills Farm men’s campus is a 45 acre working farm located near Fort Langley and Aldergrove, BC. We have 8 greenhouses where we grow landscaping plants in partnership with EVL Nurseries of Langley, BC. We also have a blueberry patch, a colony of beehives, and 2 barns where we care for our small herd of cattle and maintain a pig pen with 2 – 3 pigs at a time. One of the barns houses woodworking equipment that we use for various projects, and the other barn has a small shop where we repair small engines, fix farming equipment, and complete routine vehicle maintenance. Onsite we also have weight training equipment, and a games room with a pool table and air hockey.

NEW LIFE CENTRE

The New Life Centre is a large multi-purpose building; the hub of our day-time activities. Upstairs are the offices, kitchen, dining room and common area. The view from the large, picture windows is breathtaking. Downstairs is a classroom, our main meeting and worship gathering room, and an office for prayer counselling.

RESIDENCES

At the present time we have five client residences. Each is able to house from six to eight people. Each house was designed with the intent that residents would have the opportunity to practice living in community while they are here. Some of the living quarters are an open bunk house layout, while others have single-occupancy rooms with a central living room. We also have 4 houses and 2 attached suites for our onsite staff.
